Society for Advancement of Village Economy (SAVE)

Objectives

The broad objective of the organizations is to promote the Socio- Economic Development of the Nation and specially socio- economic empowerment of the women/youth through different training programmes, educational support, conducting research, providing services and follow-up.

The Specific Objectives of the SAVE are:

To work, fight and create awareness against discrimination of Castes, Creed, Colour, Gender, Religion, Faith, Race, Nationality etc;
To fight against HIV/AIDS, Cancer, T.B. and other communicable diseases and provide health related services;
To develop and mobilize Community and Natural Resources to give the right direction to people of the marginalized and economically weaker section of the society for their sustainable overall development;
To aware and educate people about their consumer rights and to work as a platform for creating and strengthening of promotion of consumer movement;
To promote cottage industries, Khadi, and traditional handicraft;
To work for the welfare of Agricultural workers, Farmers, Unorganized Labours, Industrial Labours and Migrated Labours;
To form women groups, youth groups, self help groups; old aged groups, adolescent groups, children groups/clubs, Mahila Panchayat, Bal Sabha, community leaders groups and group of volunteers for creating focused sensitization among people for developing team spirit among different level Community Representatives;
To undertake, start or assist the relief programme(s) in those area(s), which deadly effected by the Natural Calamities like Drought, Famine, Fire, Flood, Earthquakes or Dangerous and Communicable Diseases, etc;
To work for the Environmental Protection, Forestation, Plantation, Waste Land & Solid Waste or Water Shade Management etc.
To run Women empowerment and child integrated development programs with special emphasis on girl.
Undertaking research, studies and consultancy assignments.
Promoting rural & Urban micro-enterprises by organizing Skill Entrepreneurship Development Programme.

Society for Advancement of Village Economy (SAVE) has the following vacancy for its Targeted Intervention Project for Female Sex Workers (FSW) in Ashram area of South East District of Delhi. Position: Outreach Worker (ORW)- 1 position Salary: Rs.7500 per month + 1125 (TA) (as per prescribed guideline DSACS) Job Location: Ashram, Delhi Qualification & Experience: ïƒ¼ At least 8th standard or above qualification. ïƒ¼ Experience of working as community worker/ peer educator and/or understanding of issues concerning FSW. ïƒ¼ Candidates belonging to High Risk Group (HRG) community, so far as HIV/AIDS is concerned, will be preferred.
