Awareness Program
HIV/AIDS Awareness Camps:
According to NACO, millions people are estimated to be living with HIV in India. SAVE works very seriously to make people aware about all aspects of HIV/AIDS. Under this programme it targets FSW with special concentration.
SAVE has trained group of volunteers who have been working as outreach workers and peer educators in their respective areas. Along with trained volunteers organization has an efficient group of trainers also who provide training to the volunteers of SAVE & other organization, NGO workers and beneficiaries. Awareness activities are being done among High Risk Behavior Groups (HRBGs). SAVE had organized 7 awareness camps in the slums, JJ clusters of Delhi & Constructions sites with the support of DSACS.
SAVE organizes World AIDS Day as AIDS Jagrukta Mela every year. This is organized on December 1st at Sangamvihar, South District of Delhi. This is a whole day event that begins at 10:00 AM and concludes at 5:00 PM. Messages about HIV/AIDS are given through various ways like Street Corner Play, Magic Show, Speech, Dance, AIDS Awareness March, Song, Games, Talks, Condom Demonstration, distribution of resource materials, video show and quiz among youth. Community Leaders and NGOs working in and around the area participate in the event for making it successful. Following are the main attractions of the Mela:

Environment Awareness Campaign:
As far as work for environmental issues are concern, SAVE has been working for creating awareness particularly among youth & children about various issues of environmental concern in Delhi, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh. Awareness activities are being organized to sensitize the general people with special emphasis among School going & non-school going children both.  The brief details are as follows :
National Environment Awareness Campaign (NEAC)
Organized several Environmental Awareness Camp with the support of Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India in Delhi.
Paryavaran Mela (Environment Fair)
Paryavaran Mela is a mega event, which is being organized as ‘Environment Fair.
Road Safety Awareness Program:
We are conducting awareness generation programs on road safety in order to aware people on general rules to be followed while traveling on road. IEC materials on the same program are distributed, puppet shows, Nukar Natak are also major components of these programs.
Consumer Awareness Campaigns :
SAVE has been organizing consumer awareness camps in Delhi, West Bengal and M.P on regular basis. The main motive of these camps are creating and strengthening of promotion of consumer movement. The methodology used for these awareness camps are exhibitions, puppet shows, demonstrations and group discussion.

Financial Literacy & Inclusion Camps :

Financial Literacy & Inclusion is the need of the hour for nation's development as without Financial Literacy amoung common mass education as a whole remains incomplete. In order to address this issue, SAVE with the support of BYPL & BRPL have been organizing Financial Literacy Camps in different parts of Delhi.

Position: Outreach Worker (ORW)- 1 position Salary: Rs.7500 per month + 1125 (TA) (as per prescribed guideline DSACS) Job Location: Ashram, Delhi Qualification & Experience:  At least 8th standard or above qualification.  Experience of working as community worker/ peer educator and/or understanding of issues concerning FSW.  Candidates belonging to High Risk Group (HRG) community, so far as HIV/AIDS is concerned, will be preferred.
