Who we are ?
Society for Advancement of Village Economy (SAVE) is a national level voluntary organization, which has been working among underprivileged, marginalized & deprived people of the society on no profit no loss basis. SAVE was established in 1996 in New Delhi (India). SAVE has started its developmental work even before its registration. Registration of SAVE was not done in hurry. Volunteers, sympathizers, trustees and stakeholders were simply working in target areas without any hope for benefit or return. After four years of it’s establishment it was felt that SAVE should get registered under the appropriate Act of Government of India. It was registered on December 5th, 2001 as a Non Governmental Organization under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. SAVE is independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest, religion or any form of ethnocentric biases. The organisation mobilises volunteer activists and resource persons to work united for a society where in every individual irrespective of caste, creed, sex, region, place of birth belief occupation customs and traditions enjoys equality. SAVE functions mainly through two distinct groups of teams: One activity oriented action team and another research oriented. An administrative group supports both these teams. Action team is interested in carrying out Action oriented programmes i.e Skill Development Programmes, Awareness Camps, Programes related to delivery of services like Health , Legal Support etc. Research Team carries out seminars, surveys, publications and research projects on various subjects.
